Overview
Santusa arrived 38 years ago with her father when she was 12. She
comes from Sorata and is currently married to Juan Mamani Vargas. She
has 4 children, two boys and two girls, each of whom has their own
family. They live with their granddaughter, who is an orphan.
Given the altitude where they live, the only thing we can produce is
coffee. Oranges don’t produce – they turn out tiny – the same with
bananas. Coffee is good because it let’s us eat, buy clothes and send
the kids to study. The coffee is what helps us.
