Lot#: 8 Alessandro Matos Martins - Fazenda Cabaço Do Tanque |
 |
 |
 |
| Overview The farm was acquired in 1986. It was
Alessandro Matos Martins’ intention to begin planting Arabica coffee,
taking advantage of the altitude of its lands - above 1,200 meters – and
its mild climate – 15º C average.
Respecting the environment, coffee is grown sustainably, always
looking for the best possible use of products that can leave chemical
residues, and investing in forestation with native species.
Coffee processing system
Coffee is picked selectively and manually, and the
beans are pulped naturally by the wet system. The beans are dried on a
sunny cemented terrace.
Concern with quality
The owner receives technical assistance from the
company Agripec, and is a member of the Cooperativa Agrícola dos
Cafeicultores de Piatã [Coffee Growers Agriculture Cooperative of Piatã]
- COOCAMP, and of the Associação dos Cafeicultores do Município de Piatã
[Coffee Growers Association of the Municipality of Piatã] - ASCAMP.
