Lot#: 23 Afonso Ferreira - Sítio Da Cachoeira |
 |
 |
 |
| Overview Located at the
Municipality of Araponga, State of Minas Gerais, quite close to the
urban zone (approximately 50 meters), the Sítio da Cachoeira received
its name because the waters from a beautiful waterfall cross its land.
In the areas where coffee is planted, at altitudes above 900 meters, the
average temperature is 18ºC, with 1,200mm of annual rainfalls.
Coffee processing system
Harvesting begins in May, and the beans are picked
manually on cloth. After the beans are washed, the coffee is transferred
to the pulper. One the beans have been pulped, they are carried to the
suspended terrace to dry.
Concern with quality
The owner is always looking for the most recent
information related to how to develop the best techniques to produce
quality coffees, at agricultural associations, agencies and entities.
