Overview

São Francisco de Assis Farm, popularly known as “Bananal”, is located at 3 km from the city Carmo de Minas. The owner received the land from her father, who received from his father before. In a blessed land, hidden among the mountains and valleys, where the clean and pure water runs trough, as an ideal recipe to grow noble fruit like the special coffees, Marisa Coli Noronha is totally supported by her husband Paulo Lúcio, who gives his best on the coffee plantation. It is also relevant to state that the name of the farm was given due to their devotion to the philosophy of São Francisco de Assis, who worried about the protection of the nature. The maximum attention is taken so that the coffee can be produced without disturbing the environment, always taking into consideration its preservation.

Processing system of the coffee beans

All the harvest is done by hand and the coffee is processed in the same day and spread on the cemented patio for drying. The dried coffee is stored and rests for a long period, and after it is kept in the warehouses of COCARIVE the testers do all the analysis for the classification.

Concern on the quality

The owners of the farm have been suppliers for Illy for three years, and they were classified among the 50 finalists of the contest promoted by this company in 2007 and 2008, and also in this year, the farm was among the finalists of the Cup of Excellence. The constant support of COCARIVE represents a great contribution for all the success the farm has.
