| History
Ricarte born in the farm where he lives today, 52 years ago. Since he was 10 years old, he started learning from his parents and people from the extension service. He also worked as hand picker, traveling around Colombia. He is dedicated with his wife, 8 sons and 9 grandchildren, to the labors in the farm.
He is a member of the Associative Group “Café Andino Especial”, where, with another 250 coffee growers are looking to produce the best coffee of the region.
Environmental Care
6 hectares of the farm have native forest with presence of wild life like small mammals, birds, and reptiles. The agricultural labors are directed to the protection and preservation of the environment.
They also make ecological wet milling process, management of the organic wastes of the process to produce organic fertilizer which are used in the fertilization of the soil.
