| History
I have been a coffee grower almost all my life. I was born in a traditional
grower's family. When my mother died many years ago, I receive a small part
of the farm, but with the time I started buying the parts from my brothers.
5 years ago I decided to change my crops from typica variety to caturra
variety.
I am the representative of 43 growers. We decided to form an association
of producers in the village Chacaguaica. The association is committed with
the improvement in the practices of wet milling process, in order to keep
the quality of the beans we pick up from the trees.
I also am the representative of a craftswomen association. These women
work on this labor in the no harvesting time.
Environmental Care
I am committed with the preservation of soils, water
sources and shade grown trees.
Coffee Processing Information
I fertilize with chemical products according to the soil
analysis. As my farm is located almost 2000 meters above sea level, I don't
have many troubles with broca, however I do cultural control when it is
necessary. The harvest season goes from June through July.
