History

Few coffees in Colombia can tell a story like Glorious Coffee can, all the way from 19th century family roots beginning coffee plantations and exports from the fertile Southern mountains of Huila, leading directly to the technologically run highmountain valley plantations of today's third and fourth generation, carefully kept familiar tradition. The high quality obtained by this tradition has been awarded various important recognitions by the industry, such as the "Grand Cru de Cafe" (Paris, February 2003) and recently Cup of Excellence, First Version, Colombia 2006.

Environmental Care

Out greatest assets, our people, our soil, our water and our climate, stand as pillars at the basis of our success.

Our people, hard working entrepreneurial men and women with faith in an idea, closely knitted in an organized team led by third generation family member Olga Lara, significantly improving life conditions for the community with the creation of jobs and forms of employment among other social programs.

Our soil, of rich volcanic origin, located in the high mountain valley of the Neiva river at Hacienda La Virginia lying at 1700 mts above sea level where responsible environment friendly practices are instituted and tought to younger generations.

Our waters, abundant and crystal pure, all flowing from springs inside the property, completely unpolluted combined with the special rainfall distribution greatly benefit the industrial process.

Our climate, with an average yearly temperature of 14 celsius at night and 24 celsius during the daytime, with just the proper rainfall, solar exposure and radiation, allowing us to sun dry our beans for better overall quality.
