He was born in the municipality of Planadas, Department of Tolima. All his live has been dedicated to the coffee crops. He bought his farm 12 years ago. A friend of him invited him to the Huila department and he fall in love with those lands. His family is formed by his wife and 4 daughters who help him in the daily labors of the farm.

Environmental Care

An extension of 0,5 hectares of his farm is natural forest which he preserves. He prefers to cook with fuel oil than using the wood. He uses the pulp of the coffee as a fertilizer as well. The wet milling process is ecologycal, so the consumption of water is reduced.

Coffee Processing Information

The depulping process is done without using water, he also has tank for the fermentation. The fertilizing process is done using the pulp and also chemical products. The drying process is done in the "parabolic drying system".
