History

I tarted in the coffee culture 16 years ago, I am a member of the Associative Group "San Isidro", I began in 1991 with my first lot of coffee in my father's farm. This first lot had 3000 coffee trees of caturra variety. In 1993 I bought my own farm with 6 hectares, then, 2 years after I bought and additional lot of 2 hectares from my neighbor Orlando Babativa (another member of the San Isidro Group), and finally in 1998 I bought a last lot of 1 hectare from another neighbor. I married Olga Camacho and we have three sons. All of them study in the School of Garzón. I am also an active member of the Cooperative.

Environmental Care

I try to manage the farm under the criteria of preservation of the environment. My farm is also a place where the National Center for Coffee Research (CENICAFE) has done different researchs about native trees and migratory birds.
