History

I was born and grew up in the middle of the coffee trees. The farm I have now was originally owned by my father. When I bought the farm. I started with sugar cane crops, then I changed to cattle and finally I went back to the coffee. I live in the farm with my wife and my daughter. We are conscious that the quality is what pays, and thanks to our committment with the quality in the farm, we have won this award.

Environmental Care

The farm got the Rainforest Alliance Certification 6 months ago, so we do have to take special control of all the natural resources of the farm, specially the natural source of fresh water. I am building a system of filters for the residual water so I can improve the chemical conditions of the water as well as its oxygenation before the water goes back to the natural sources.

Coffee Processing Information

The farm has its own natural sources of water which is used for the washing process. The pulp is decomposed to be used lately for fertilizing the crops. As a cultural tradition, I only pick red cherries and I depulp the same day of the harvesting.
