Leonte Collazos Rojas is a coffee grower, he is 54years old, and he was born in the municipality of Acevedo in the state of Huila. Since he was little he becomes his work with coffee. He got his own family 30 years ago, he is married and has 6 children, from which 4th are already independent. He was one of the founders of the Associative group San Isidro and he also has his identification as a Colombian Coffee Farmer.

Care of the Environment

Leonte is doing a good job with the care of the environment, he is management the organic and inorganic residues from the farm. They don’t burn any solids, so they don’t get fire or cutting of trees. They also got a good method for the residual water from the process. They don’t have captive animals.

Process

FERTILIZATION: Applications of chemical fertilizer.

DISEASES AND PLAGUES CONTROL: They use integral control of the field. For “la broca“ they use cultural practices in the picking like RE-RE (Repaso de Recolección) Harvesting Review.
