With approximately 30 years of experience of being a
coffee producer in the western region of the country, Mr. Perez
Barrantes counts with the support of his wife and sons, who also are
dedicated completely to the coffee activity. He grows the varieties of:
Caturra, Catuai and Villalobos of organic origin. In his property he
uses other varieties of trees to offer the necessary shade to the coffee
plants, among them: fruit trees, native trees, and banana tree.
Génesis Farm - Producer: Oscar Méndez Acuña (Farm
size: 16 hectares)
Oscar Méndez Acuña is a coffee producer that has
dedicated his life to the production of organic and conventional high
altitude coffee in harmony with nature. Oscar together with his family,
takes care of the coffee crop, using in his farm different shades from
native trees
Los Anonos Farm - Producers: Marvin Rodríguez
Villalobos and Felipe Rodríguez Villalobos (Farm size: 9 hectares)
Marvin and Felipe have dedicated to grow organic
coffee using the varieties of caturra and catuai in the western region
of the country. Altogether with the rest of their families, they have
made an agreement to produce in a sustainable way with the environment,
using in their property, fruit trees and other plants to produce good
shade for their coffee plantation.
