| “Quality That Lasts”
Luis Silva, the owner of La Fany, fell in love with this propriety when
his aunt owned it. He and his brother Rafael created a company, Inversiones
Cafetaleras de Occidente, and bought the land 10 years ago. The obsession
with la Fany, comes from the name of a woman baptized by his ancestors,
the general Fabio Morán and Etifanio Silva back in 1870. The high quality
coffee planted and the richness of it soil create a perfect union to produce
exceptional coffee.
This is Luis’s second time entering the Cup of Excellence. Luis had a
high reduction in his harvest and decided to take another chance, and won!
The winning lot, 100% Boubon, was picked for two days, and was taken
to the mill Cooperativa Los Ausoles immediately afterwards to be processed.
The average age of the trees are 25 years old. He has 2,100 hectares, and
