Overview

In the mountain Range of Apaneca-Ilamatepec we find “Las Victorias” farm, established in the mid 19th hundreds by the philanthropist General Francisco Menéndez who later became President of El Salvador from 1885 to 1890 just like the story of winning farm El Trapiche, after his death, his daughter Juana Menendez and her husband Mister Gustavo Magaña Salazar noticed the magnificent quality of coffee produced by the exceptional land, and decided to extend their cultivation area by acquiring the neighbouring farms.

La Guerra I is one of them. The Magaña’s family developed it into what it is today which has been conveyed by its rich and supreme soil for a long time.

This property has been flourishing with Bourbon coffee for more than 150 years. The coffee’s quality and great flavour is guaranteed by seed selection from lush trees in different areas of the property.

Through five generations, the Magaña’s have learned experience, love and pride towards coffee growing. They have improved the quality by using the best cultural practices available to them. This has allowed the coffee’s recognition at national and international levels.
