Overview
Patricia, 4th generation coffee grower, is thrilled to
receive this award that acknowledge all the work performed for so many years.
More than 100 years ago, her Great Grandmother Damiana Nájera de Molina
decided to become a coffee producer and started planting El Angel farm.
Three generation ahead, taking over her father’s experience and dedication,
she has been working the farm since a very early age, and her goal is to
seek always for quality improvements and yields that allow her to obtain
decent profits. This way, Patricia continues the legacy while bringing sustenance
to her family.
One of the primary tasks to achieve the very best coffee
possible is explained the pickers about the importance of taking extra special
care in selecting only those beans with the right color and stage of ripeness.
Patricia is certain that the unique microclimate in the farm favours growing
high quality coffee.
Her family hopes to gain international recognition on
their coffees so they can reinvest more into the farm. Her wish is to meet
the future buyer of this winning coffee lot soon, so she can tell their
story and let it fall in love with El Angel as well.
The fauna found at El Angel consists mainly of armadillos,
snakes, possums, squirrels, deer, and different types of birds such as Turquoise-browed
Motmot (national bird known as Torogoz), quails, zenzontles, etc.
