Overview
The village of Las Lomas is located 15 kilometers from the City of San
Juan, the same road that leads to the city of La Esperanza, Intibuca.
The farm`s owner is also a member of the Cooperative “Nuevo Eden” of
San Juan, Intibuca.
Don Emiliano Navarrete was born in Erandique, Lempira, worked for a while
in Santa Barbara, earn some money and then bought the land that now is Finca
Los Naranjos, he has been living there for the past ten years. He initiated
just with one manzana (7,000 square meters) of coffee. He commercializes
his coffee trough Cooperative COARENE. His family is his wife and five children,
his wife, Maria Jesus Cantarero and his kids, Jose Filadelfo, 7 years old;
Juan Carlos, 6 years old, Jose Melecio, 3 years old, Kareli Orbelina, 2
years and Marlon Argentino, 3 months old are the reason he is in the coffee
business. The older ones go to school in the same .
