History My first knowledge about coffee was acquired from my grandparents
Luis Rodriguez and Maria Marcos Aguilar. From a very young age we
learned to cultivate, handle and harvesting of the coffee. Also
processing it to the dry parchment state. Since 1890 my
great-grandparents Rosa Aguilar and Maria Magdalena Osorio. Grandparents
Luis Rodriguez Osorio, Maria Marcos Aguilar and my mother Maria Rosalina
Aguilar, my wife Ritza Yolanda Arriaga and my children Herley Edgardo
Urquia Arriaga, Bingris Urquia Arriaga, Carolina Urquia Arriaga, Rossy
Urquia Arriaga.
Quality Practices In the cultivation of the coffee we implemented technologies like:
Weave handling regulation of shade, manual control of weeds,
fertilization based on ground analysis, establishment of live barriers
and shades that allow us to have an atmosphere friendly coffee farm.
Environmental Care There are many wild animals. Within the animal species there can be
seen: deer, rabbits, wild cats, armadillos, pisote, tepezcuincle,
guatusas, and tacuazin. There are also many types of birds such as:
gualchocas, lion bird, guarda barrancos , codornizes and others.
Coffee Process Information Fertilization: Chemical and organic fertilizations (pulp,
seniza, gallinaza, etc) through the ground analyses. Disease and Pest Control: The control of plagues and diseases I
do it through the implantation of cultural practices (weave handling,
regulation of shade, pepena and repela of fruits, installation of
artisan traps, amendments and others like application of natural
products like: Sucunan leaves, Lime, Soap mixed with applications of two
or three times per year or according to the case. Harvesting: The harvesting is done in an artisan way using
the human resource between the months of November and April. Milling:The Coffee is dried to the sun using cement patios to
obtain better quality.
