Overview

My name is Jaime Lovo Moncada, I am 54 years old. My family is cattle farmer and coffee grower for tradition .My wife ,sons and daughters help me with the work in the farm .This allows me to distribute my time in the two activities that I am dedicate too, at this moment I am the President of the National commission of cattle Farmers.

In Dipilto Nueva Segovia, the farm of my family was inherited from my Grandfathers to my Father is “La Soledad", my father was buying small land parcels and one of them is “Santa Isabel”. Dipilto is characterized for bean border with Honduras, and during the 80´s we had the problem of the war and we could not work in the farm because the high risk in the zone, and was until 1990 when there was changes in the government that we could obtained finance, we took over and we are working the farm until this moment.

The quality coffee of Nueva Segovia is famous, since my Grandfathers time and my Father the roads were very bad and was difficult to harvest the coffee. It has been always considered that the zone of Dipilto produces quality coffee, this region has an excellent height, good fluvial precipitation, enough shade and a great variety of seeded coffee.

The results of the Cup of Excellence of this year and previous years proof that the coffee of Dipilto has excellent quality. I am very proud and fills of joy to know that we have produce one of the best coffees in Nicaragua, which stimulates us to continue working the coffee by giving him a special treatment in the cultural workings, of picking and dry mill. The finale touch is given in Las Segovias by the process in the dry mill.

I have participated three times in the Cup of Excellence, winning twice, this confirms me that the quality of my coffee is improving, this motivates me to continue participating in the cup of Excellence.
