Overview

My name is Fernando Lopez Sauceda, I am 37 years old, I am married and father of 2 girls. I come from a family that is dedicated to coffee harvesting, I was born in a coffee farm and since then I have dedicated to coffee production.

The Cup of Excellence has left me satisfied by demonstrating that Nicaragua has the potential for great coffee and above all the area of Dipilto Nueva Segovia. Also, I have the satisfaction to demonstrate, as president of UCAFE, that producer training gives good results, it is worth it to train coffee producers.

My family has been preoccupied to work together for our common good, we provide work with our efforts and own resources through our diversification of activities in our farms and as a product of this team work not only I am a winner of the Cup of Excellence, but also my Father who won 14th Place.

Without a doubt the natural conditions of Dipilto favors the quality of coffee, however the coffee management during the process is part of the quality secret.

Although this is my first experience participating and winning the Cup of Excellence, my parents have participated and won places. It is a challenge for Dipilto to continue to participate in this event, to stay as a winner and win places while the Cup of Excellence exists.
