Overview

My name is Francisco Moncada Midence, I am 74 years old, Father of 3 daughters and Grandfathers of 6 grandsons, I am Medical Doctor and a coffee producer, I dedicate myself to take care of my property Villa Guadalupe located in Dipilto Nueva Segovia, at first was a hobby because I worked as a Medical Doctor in the Ministry of Health in Nicaragua.

Forty years ago I began with a small farm and little by little I was buying more land, now Villa Guadalupe is one of the few farm that has an infrastructure that count with a wet and dry mill. The existence of abundant shade in the plantation of the coffee is part of the good quality of the coffee.

Exportadora Atlantic motivated me to participate for the second time in the Cup of Excellence, although it seemed to me as a lottery but I decided to send a sample any way. I selected my lot at random, I managed to gain place 22 and this gives me a whole satisfaction that compensates the effort that I have been made to produce quality coffee. I found out that my coffee is very good, thanks to a Costa Rican Gentleman who worked in the mill of AgroNica in Ocotal that used my coffee sample and another persons coffee to gain a gold medal by quality coffee but without promotion of the Dipilteño coffee nobody Knew. This year the Cup of Excellence filled me with satisfaction when I saw that the Zone of Dipilto was dominating the great majorities of Winner Coffees.

I hope to have a great opportunity now that I am a Cup of Excellence winner, to sell my coffee a better price, to improve the quality and to continue participating because there is an International interest in buying the Nicaragua coffee due to Excellent Quality.
