My name is Domingo Herrera Ruiz, I am 59 years old and father of
seven children. I live in the city of Ocotal, Nueva Segovia for the last
40 years. My farm El Cipres is located in Dipilto, where I produce on
average 333 bags (69kg) of coffee per year. For the last 40 years I have
dedicated my life to growing coffee and raising cattle, since that is
where my experience has been acquired.
My harvest is done manually from December to March. The coffee once
picked is transported on our backs depending on the distance we need to
take it. I have participated in the Cup of Excellence before and it
always excites me to be able to have the opportunity to sell all my
production of coffee at a better price.
By improving in the different process of my coffee and with hope and
faith that I have in God, I see the opportunity to continue to
participate in the Cup of Excellence.
