I obtained my farm by inheritance from my parents in
the year 1995 it was a total of 5 acres, with time I was able to purchase
the remaining 90 acres. I have worked in a traditional manner. In 2002 I
began to work with organic coffee and was certified by but quiet in 2005.
My father is of Honduran heritage while my mother is Nicaraguan, my father
died in 1976 and my mother passed away in January of this year. I have 12
siblings, six brothers and six sisters we all have dedicated our lifes to
working with coffee.
The farm is approximately 32 years old, natural shade
is provided by different trees such as Guabas, Musa, citrus, avocado, Jocote
and granadilla. Coffee is harvested in early October until January. Water
comes from a natural spring water source which is freeof pollutant. The
environment is protected by conducting reforestation in different areas.
