Farm: "El Porvenir" - San Fernando, Nueva Segovia
I inherited my farm 5 years ago, it was in complete abandonment,
no access roads, no infrastructure not even housing conditions much less
a wet mill. The first year I was able to grow 3qq, second year 7qq, third
year 12qq and by the fifth year I was able to harvest 35qq. My parents and
grandparents generation have been in the coffee industry for at least 90
years.
I use traditional technology for planting and wet mill.
I fertilize my land twice a year, once in June and the last in October.
The coffee is harvested December to March. I am dedicated to quality and
to guarantee good working conditions and dignified salaries to my employees,
I believe in supporting this industry because a lot of families depend on
it.
