Coffees announced the release of its newest specialty coffee, the Brazilian
2002 Cup of Excellence winner from Fazenda (farm) Catuaí. With a limited
production, Gloria Jean's is the only US-based gourmet coffee chain to offer
this rare, exquisitely balanced coffee. It also marks the first time a Cup
of Excellence winner has been available at a nationwide chain. Brazilian
Reserve, as marketed by Gloria Jean's, is available through the company's

Judged by a panel of distinguished national and international
coffee experts, the Cup of Excellence is awarded to the very best coffees
produced in individual countries for a particular year. Organically grown
on a small farm in the Brazilian mountains of Fortaleza de Minas, the coffee
beans from Fazenda Catuaí are nurtured and cared for from planting to harvest.
