Advanced Search Made Easy
Once you know the basics of Farm Database Search, you might want to try Advanced Search, which offers numerous options for making your searches more precise.
You can view the advanced search tool by clicking on the "Open Advanced Search" link on the Basic Search Page.
Here's what the Advanced Search page looks like:
You can do a lot more with Farm Database Search than just typing in search terms. With Advanced Search, you can search for farms with specific range attributes such as:
- Altitude
- Auction Date
- Farm Size
- Coffee Growing Area
- Highest Bid
- Lot Size
- International Jury Score
- Ranking
Each attribute has two input boxes. The first box is a lower limit and the second box is the upper limit. To leverage these advanced features we have provided you examples below.
Examples
Example 1: We want to search for Colombian farms with caturra coffee that have an attitude above 1500 meters above sea level. Simply select Colombia in the programs dropdown and type caturra in the search criteria box. Then type in 1500 in the first altitude box. Then click "View Search Results".
Example 2: We want to search for Colombian farms with caturra coffee that have an attitude above 1500 and below 2000 meters above sea level. Simply select Colombia in the programs dropdown and type caturra in the search criteria box. Then type in 1500 in the first altitude box and 2000 in the second altitude box. Then click "View Search Results".
Example 3: We want to search for Colombian farms with caturra coffee that have an attitude above 1500 and below 2000 meters above sea level and scored over 90 by the International jury. Simply select Colombia in the programs dropdown and type caturra in the search criteria box. Then type in 1500 in the first altitude box and 2000 in the second altitude box. Then type 90 in the first International Jury Score box. Then click "View Search Results".
